MD Basic Handgun (HQL)

The MD Basic Handgun HQL is a firearms safety course that consists of classroom instruction on state firearm law, home firearm safety, handgun mechanisms and operation, and a component that requires the applicant to demonstrate the ability to safely fire a handgun.
Academic Instruction
The 4-hour class is conducted via video teleconference on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 7-9 PM each day. Practical exercises and live-fire training, conducted with a group of up to 10 students. Students will shoot no more than 5-rounds. Weapon rental and targets included.
